The University of Split awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) 2021-2027

The University of Split application for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027 has been positively evaluated by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), so the University of Split became the holder of the new Erasmus Charter for Higher Education.

Holding an ECHE is the highest priority to the University of Split. It is a pre-requisite for the participation in the new programme 2021-2027, which sets out the general quality framework for the activities and entitles a higher education institution to carry out all activities under the Erasmus+ Programme.

The granting of this Charter commits HEI to comply with the further institutional strategy for internationalization and contribute to the goals of the European Education Area. The Charter's fundamental principles aim to reinforce the quality of students and staff mobility at HEI, development and cooperation with partners in other countries in the framework of a clear strategy of internationalization, to encourage inclusion, especially individuals with fewer opportunities, to respect the principles of non-discrimination fully, and pursue the development of transnational teaching activities. Furthermore, the new ECHE highlights the implementation of blended mobilities, the achievement of automatic recognition of credits earned abroad, digitalization of Erasmus+ programme, include a commitment of civic engagement and making the programme environmentally friendly through the project activities.
