The University of Split and SEA-EU partner universities are participating in the Sea Tech Week event

The University of Split is participating in the 12th edition of the Sea Tech Week conference, taking place from October 12 to 16, together with all partner universities from the European Universities of the Sea (SEA-EU) alliance. Sea Tech Week, an event related to research and innovation at sea, organized by the Campus mondial de la mer community (Brittany, France), is this year taking place online. This year edition’s theme of is "Observation: from the bottom of the sea up to space".
The SEA-EU alliance has two sections within the conference. The first, taking place Wednesday, October 14, titled "Strategies and key commitment of each of the 6 universities on marine observation" was attended by prof. Leandra Vranješ Markić PhD, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation and Hrvoje Mihanović PhD, from the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, as our partner, together with other representatives of all six partner universities.

Associate prof. Žarko Kovač PhD, from the Faculty of Science and Ivan Racetin PhD, from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy will be our representatives in the section "Uses of images and instrumentation in the observatory", to be held tomorrow, October 15.

Sea Tech Week includes more than 30 science and technology sessions, a fair with some 30 stands and more than 200 BtoB meetings, and its 12th, virtual edition, continues the tradition of previous events as an interdisciplinary platform bringing together researchers, companies, institutions representatives and students.
