The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), world's largest organization in the fight against fraud, has been organizing the International Fraud Awareness Week for years with the aim of raising awareness and promoting active fight against this phenomenon. This year, the International Fraud Awareness Week takes place November 12-18, 2023. Aware of the need to raise awareness about fraud, as well as the importance of fighting against financial crime and various forms of fraud and corruption, University of Split’s Department of Forensic Sciences this year again supports and celebrates this event.
On this occasion, Split-Dalmatia Police Administration representatives held a lecture on November 16, 2023, in which they presented the project: "SafetyNet / Battle for Security".
Computer fraud is the third most common form of business fraud in Croatia, so there is a need to raise public awareness of the real danger and exposure to various forms of fraud in computer crime.
Marking the International Fraud Awareness Week, University Department of Forensic Sciences makes a small contribution to raising awareness of the necessity to fight together against various forms of fraud and losses they cause.
