Construction of the future University of Split’s Science and Innovation Centre - ZIC, in ideal conditions, could begin in three years.

University of Split’s "Science and Innovation Centre’s” (ZIC KK.01.1.1.09.0035) mission was developed having in mind University’s capacity and resources, global mega-trends and long-term research plan aimed at addressing social challenges in fields of energy, environment, food, health, security, connectivity and has sustainable, circular and blue economy as its goal.

University of Split’s vision is to make ZIC a top scientific incubator.

We believe that research impulses will become (university of Split’s identity and) ZIC’s symbol that will convey key messages such as:

• positive and open scientific research environment;

• top competitive scientific research work;

• that transdisciplinary University is the key to its further development;

• functional integration of University and all its components’ scientific research activities is priority.

Its target audience is made up from students, doctoral students and scientists working on the components of the University, associates from other higher education institutions (national and international) as well as entrepreneurs with the potential for cooperation in the field of research and development.
