In University of Split School of Medicine’s large amphitheater, the ceremony of awarding the honorary title of professor emeritus, Rector's awards, awards for sports achievements, and best artwork "Split-Dalmatia County’s historical and cultural heritage" was held.

The full amphitheater hosted laureates, students and their guests, professors and always-welcome guests from the City and County.

Mayor of Split’s delegate, Slavko Žaja, City of Split’s senior advisor for education, science and technical culture, said:

- Today's laureates, all the talents they possess, developed in education and their lives. Today's ceremony testifies that they gave back to society, the community, to another men what they gained, and the community recognizes that.

Stipe Čogelja, Split-Dalmatia Deputy Prefect, emphasized that the County is a proud partner of University of Split. I congratulate you on results you have achieved, especially laureates who are the light of our future. Split-Dalmatia County will continue to back you up every step of the way.

At the end, University of Split Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D. addressed the audience;

- You are the ones who make it worth fighting to make our University better. You are excellent and everyone should look up to you. Just keep going, don't stop. We are on our way out, this is your time. We will fight for you to have best possible conditions to keep growing and developing. Go abroad, but return to Split. There is no better place to live and work than here!
