University of Split's Alumni have a new president

On November 30, 2021, an election assembly of the UNIVERSITY OF SPLIT’S ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (ASUS) took place in the "Don Frane Bulić", University of Split’s City Hall. ASUS includes University of Split’s alumni (former students) associations, coming from Faculty of Economics, Catholic Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Chemistry and Technology, Faculty of Kinesiology, Faculty of Maritime Studies, Faculty of Science, University departments of Forensic Sciences, of Professional Studies and of Marine Studies.

At the session, Sandra Kovačić, bacc. oec. (from University Department of Professional Studies’ Alumni Association) former Vice President of ASUS, employed in the banking sector as a branch director, was elected President. The current president assoc. prof. Mirjana Milić Ph.D. (from the Faculty of Kinesiology’s alumni) was relieved of her duty at her own request.

The Assembly added to the Association’s Statute provisions on online sessions of its bodies. Known restrictions on movement and direct contacts, introduced due to the Covid-19 pandemic, accelerated the implementation of plans to use modern information and communication technology as a support to fulfilling the purpose Association's bodies have in performing their statutory rights and obligations.
