University of Split hosted EUF’s three-day conference Open Space

Open Space three-day conference, organized by the European University Foundation (EUF), took place on June 7 in SPINIT Technology Incubator.

- University of Split hosted this meeting, attended by 75 participants. Colleagues from universities across Europe will exchange experiences in implementing Erasmus+ KA2 projects, about writing papers and ideas for projects. Form of the event is workshops, because the goal is developing project ideas - said Ana Ćosić, head of Department for International and Interuniversity Cooperation, at University of Split.

University’s Vice-Rector for International and Local Cooperation, prof. Zoran Đogaš Ph.D. pointed out that this was a significant event important for University of Split’s visibility in Europe and beyond, and introduced those who attended to the University and most important projects that it implements.

João Bacelar, EUF’s executive director, expressed great satisfaction that this organization’s first live conference took place in Split, noting that in these three days, conference would discuss project ideas on several topics, improving mobility, the Erasmus+ program and the like.

In 2019, the University of Split joined EUF, one of most prestigious and influential university networks in Europe. The network’s basic mission is to contribute to a modern, strong and competitive European ​​higher education area and to advocate for raising quality of student mobility. The network has extensive experience in creating policies and big influence on developing Erasmus+ program, one of their known initiatives at the moment being its digitalization.
