University of Split at the InnovAzul conference in Cadiz

The University of Cadiz, in cooperation with other respected partners, organized an international event on the theme of the blue economy, attended by more than 2,500 visitors. The SEA-EU Alliance organized several days of activities as part of this event. One activity related to the SEA-EU DOC project, included a presentation of achievements, as well as a panel discussion on "Skills beyond academia" with representatives of academic and business worlds.

The second SEA-EU day was dedicated to SEA-EU and reSEArch-EU projects. As part of the program, vice-rectors for science from SEA-EU partner universities presented opportunities for development in the field of "blue economy", with University of Split’s vice-rector, prof. Igor Jerković Ph.D. presenting University of Split’s research and teaching activities in this area. After that, there was a short SEA-EU conference, as part of which assoc. prof Goran Ćorluka Ph.D. gave the presentation "From Mass Tourism to Overtourism". In the last part of the program, there was a panel discussion on "Research and business relationship", attended by Prof. Leandra Vranješ Markić Ph.D. and Tanja Šegvić Bubić Ph.D., from Split’s Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries.

As part of these meetings, a series of group and bilateral meetings of partner universities’ vice-rectors, among which vice-rectors Prof. Zoran Đogaš, Ph.D. and Prof. Igor Jerković Ph.D. made plans for numerous future projects and collaborations.
