University Department of Professional Studies’ interesting and extremely well attended panel discussion on social studies

University Department of Professional Studies hosted an interesting and extremely well-attended social studies panel discussion, on Friday, March 24, in its amphitheatre, on "Conversation with employers: experiences, needs and the future of the labour market", with the aim of continuous improvement of study programs.

On the occasion, head of Department, Petar Pepur Ph.D. and head of Office for Business Cooperation, Ivona Jukić M.Sc., greeted many students, especially thanking the panellists, employers’ representatives. Head of Department for Management, Trade and Tourism, Antonija Roje, and head of Accounting and Finance, Luka Mladineo Ph.D. moderated the discussion.

During the discussion, labour market needs and importance of student traineeships were examined; characteristics, skills and knowledge that perspective employees should have were described, analysing future trends in employment, from the point of view of individual panellists, representatives of their profession.

Department partners Zorana Rubić from Adriatic osiguranje, Antonio Miličević from Deltron, Marija Mrđen from FINA, Vanda Puizina Dragojević from Hotel Posh, Ilijana Janjić and Anita Žarković from Micronic and Tihana Klarić from Studenac presented their experiences and offered valuable advice to students.
