In his address, University of Split Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D. recalled the years which is behind us, but also all the successes we as a University have achieved despite the corona virus pandemic. The University of Split handeled the "new normal" and got the grade 4.8 (out of 5) from students for distance learning. Seminars and lectures were also graded with an excellent grade of 4.6. Rector Dragan Ljutić concluded that the numbers speak for themselves.
Above all, the Rector referred to the University of Split students, especially the ones awarded with ‘his’ Award, of whom the entire University is extremely proud. Without science and knowledge, there is no progress, and our University contributes to the growth and development of not only the city or county, but of the entire state.
We are coming up with a good strategy of living by developing the City Strategy and dislocating individual studies outside Split. The city we live in is not the only thing important, surrounding area also is, smaller cities that had higher education institutions for centuries and that need life again, Rector Ljutić noted.
The university should be connected to the labor market, and students should be included in it before they graduate, in order to get jobs as soon as possible. We have signed a number of contracts with important companies in Split, our county, and beyond, trying to take care of our students from the beginning of their studies and after graduation, concludes the rector.
