The University of Split provides an opportunity for Freshmen students to study in Sinj

On Monday, September 28th almost all faculties and departments at the University of Split officially celebrated the start of the new academic year and welcomed the future students.

Freshmen students of the Study of Mediterranean Agriculture were welcomed by Assistant Professor Leo Gracin, PhD, Head of the Study of Mediterranean Agriculture and Vice-rector for Business Administration of the University of Split, Professor Tomislav Kilić, PhD.

A ceremony was held in the presence of Secretary-General of the University of Split Mr Filip Klarić-Kukuz, the Secretary of Alka Knights Society Mr Ivan Nasić, who provided a space for studying and the guardian of the Sanctuary of the Miraculous Lady of Sinj friar Ante Čovo.

‘’Thank you for choosing to study Mediterranean Agriculture at the University of Split. I sincerely hope we can meet your expectations. We will certainly do our best to make it happen.’’- said Vice-rector, Professor Tomislav Kilić, PhD and then introduced the freshmen students to professors who will teach them during their study.

‘’We established the dislocated study in the area of Cetina to ensure an effective fieldwork education. However, we want to encourage the agriculture development.’’- said Vice-rector, introducing young students to the history of the University and the increasingly successful performance of the University of Split at the world university rankings and the high level of quality of education system.
