About the webinar:
Topic of the seventh Blue Talks webinar is "Present and future challenges in the development of hybrid platforms for the exploitation of marine renewable energies and aquaculture". This talk will present new topics, such as fluctuating wind and W2Power energy, which is a new trend in the marine energy field. That is to say, W2Power has opened a completely new market in the renewable energy sector.
Pedro Mayorga Rubio is an assistant professor at the University of Malaga and founder of EnerOcean, a marine energy engineering company that places emphasis on new trends in using renewable sources of energy, such as W2Power. He has extensive experience and is author of many inventions in the field of marine energy.

The lecture takes place within the SEA-EU alliance:
The vision of the European University of the Seas (SEA-EU) is to establish a distinctly international, pluri-ethnic, multilingual and interdisciplinary European university. European universities are alliances that transcend countries and will become universities of the future, promoting European values and identity, improving quality and competitiveness of higher education in Europe.
The main incentive and medium connecting everyone in the SEA-EU alliance is the sea. SEA-EU will encourage excellence in research, in order to gain as much knowledge, better understanding and management of the marine environment. It will help strengthen the human resources and skills necessary to respond to needs of the marine and maritime sectors, which are still developing, now and in the near future. It will provide and improve tools and techniques to measure and anticipate ocean-based and driven. It will build frameworks for effective ocean governance, as well as empower societies and communities to achieve sustainable development goals for the oceans
