Testing point for SARS-CoV-2 virus on University of Split’s Campus

Following the decision of Croatia’s Civil Protection Headquarters on necessary epidemiological measures, a session of the University of Split’s rector, vice-rectors and heads of departments was held on November 15, chaired by prof. Dragan Ljutić, the rector, in the presence of leaders of University’s constituents and Primarius assist.prof. Željka Karin Ph.D., director of Dalmatia’s Institute of Public Health and assoc. prof. Anamarija Jurčev Savičević, epidemiologist, with the topic: testing.

Considering the experience so far (testing was done by medical and health studies students, which was organized impeccably), we are convinced that testing our employees and students who need certificates for their education will go on without problems.

After an exhaustive and fruitful discussion, the following conclusions were reached:

1. University of Split will act in accordance with the Decision of the Croatia’s Civil Protection Headquarters regarding implementiation of the security measure of mandatory testing of employees in public services (https://civilna-zastita.gov.hr/UserDocsImages/CIVILNA%20ZA%C5%A0TITA/PDF_ZA%20WEB/Odluka%20-%20obvezno%20testiranje.pdf and information from the Ministry of science and education (https://mzo.gov.hr/vijesti/obavijest-javnim-visokim-ucilistima-i-studentskim-centrima-odluka-stozera-12-11-2021/4644)

2. In order to facilitate testing of University staff, a testing point will be organized within University, on Campus. Testing will there be possible every Monday and Wednesday from 6.30 to 9am.

Organized by the Teaching Institute for Public Health, testing can be done at other locations and their list can be found at: https://nzjz-split.hr/en/testiranje-za-sluzbenike-i-namjestenike/
