First UNIST Career Speed Dating, as a part of Career and university-industry cooperation Day 2022 successfully took place at University of Split’s Spinit Incubator, organized by University Department for Professional Studies’ Office for Career Management and Split’ Student Centre.

Career Speed Dating is a special combination of speed date and job interview intended for University of Split students. It is organized in such a way that students get 5 to 8 minutes to introduce themselves to employers.

Students from our University were extremely interested in this type of presentation to future employers, and this event was intended primarily for humanities students.

One of them is Ivan Durdov, from University Department of Professional Studies, a 4th year Tourism and Trade Management student, who hopes to have made a good impression after the first interview.

- I introduced myself to Tommy d.o.o. and it went good. In several minutes, I managed to say something about myself, my previous work experience, faculty and favourite subjects… It was simple - Ivan told us, revealing that he thought working conditions offered him were satisfactory.

On behalf of University of Split, the event was opened by Vice-rector for Business, prof. Tomislav Kilić Ph.D. and the Head of University Department for Professional Studies, Petar Pepur Ph.D. and head of Office for Career Management, Antonia Peroš.

Vice-rector Kilić pointed out that employers who attended this event also belonged to our University-industry cooperations. He said good things about this concept, within which students can find internships as well as possible jobs.

Professional Studies Head, Pepur, thanked all present businessmen for recognizing this event’s potential, also students who recognized opportunities that may result from their presentation to potential employers.
