University of Split, in cooperation with the City’s Red Cross Society, collected food products and hygiene supplies for displaced Ukrainians who found their temporary homes in the Split-Dalmatia County.
The humanitarian action lasted for five days, and help was collected in all University of Split faculty components, departments and study division.
When collected aid was handed over to Split’s Red Cross Society, its director, Tomislav Gojo, thanked the University for this commendable action and empathy shown by everyone who participated in collecting aid for Ukrainian refugees.
Marijan Bašić, coordinator and head of infrastructure projects at University of Split, thanked all students and all employees for showing their big heart and unity when it came to helping people in need. In five days, three full vans of necessary food and hygiene supplies were collected. Marijan Bašić also thanked Rector Dragan Ljutić for recognizing this moment’s importance and calling on the entire university community to show solidarity with those in need. "Today, I am especially proud to be a member of Split’s university family," he concluded.
