Split-Dalmatia County will co-finance private housing for University of Split’s students

With 40 euros per month, Split-Dalmatia County will co-finance accommodation for University of Split’ students who could not get a place in student dormitory. Prefect Blaženko Boban reminded that Croatian Government decided to co-finance private accommodation of students with EUR 60 per month.

"We really thank Croatian Government for this help. At the initiative of University of Split’s Student Union President, Jerko Šarić, we decided to add another EUR 40 thus providing EUR 100 for each student. According to Ministry's criteria, there are 280 such students here," the Prefect declared. In County’s budget for 2024, that item will amount to EUR 117,600.

University of Split’s Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D. thanked the prefect for his cooperation in this project, as well as in previous projects and activities.

"This care provided by the prefect with his colleagues and Split-Dalmatia County is commendable. It means a lot to our students. I hope that in the near future we will open the possibility of staying in a new dormitory, for which the Government helps, paying for project documentation", Rector said.

University of Split’s Student Union President, Jerko Šarić, pointed out that this is a concrete measure for the benefit of students and their parents.
