Society for Neuroscience "NeuroSplit" is the Croatian winner of the European Citizen Award for 2021

The Office of the European Parliament in Croatia, in cooperation with the Croatian Parliament, presented the European Citizen Award for 2021 at a national ceremony held on Friday, November 26, at Europe House. This year's Croatian winner is NeuroSplit, Society for Neuroscience in Split’s School of Medicine, with the project "With One Dream United", for great accomplishment in activities promoting better understanding and strengthening of the European spirit of solidarity and togetherness.

Members of Parlimant Tomislav Sokol and Sunčana Glavak presented the award to our students Miro Vuković, President of the Section for Neuroscience, Marina Grubić and Valentina Biloš.

The project "With One Dream United" includes a series of events, workshops, humanitarian actions and lectures, and has been implemented since the section was founded in 2016. The focus was on the period from 2017 to 2020, especially given the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among other things, the students organized lectures by a number of Nobel Prize winners, at the School of Medicine, and "Nobel Days" are worth mentioning.

- This award is a great recognition and confirmation of how valuable the activities we have been carrying out. We are sure that it will be great motivation for future work - concluded Miro Vukovic.
