Organized by the Student Catholic Centre Split (SKAC), two events will take place this week - Humanitarian freshman party “Students for Petrinja”, on October 12, and the traditional volunteer action "72 hours without compromise", October 13-16.

The humanitarian freshman party announces a large volunteering project, which will collect funds to help one family in need from around Petrinja. The concert, which will feature Giuliano, Petar Dragojević, Taxi band, Grupa Best and 058, is organized in cooperation with Student Centre Split, and will take place tomorrow in the Kampus restaurant starting at 9 p.m.

In the international volunteer event "72 Hours Without Compromise" in Split’s area, around 500 young volunteers will participate in about 60 different actions. In the '72 hours without compromise' project, young people make themselves, their time and abilities, available for concrete volunteering actions, and promote universal human values.

Various actions are planned: workshops for the young, visits to different groups of people, helping the elderly and those needing care, cleaning and arranging homes, parks, schools and kindergartens’ surroundings, fundraising for the poor, environmental actions, creative workshops with children, and other activities.
