Signed Agreement on cooperation between the University of Split and the Mediterranean Institute for Life Research

The Mediterranean Institute for Life Research - MedILS and the University of Split have, on November 4, signed an Agreement defining the principles of long-term cooperation between these two institutions in areas of common interest. The agreement on cooperation was signed by the academic Miroslav Radman on behalf of MedILS and the rector prof. Dragan Ljutić PhD, on behalf of the University of Split, and the signing was attended by Jelena Ružić, director of MedILS, vice-rectors prof. Tomislav Kilic PhD, prof. Goran Kardum PhD, prof. Leandra Vranješ Markić PhD and Associate Professor Željko Radić PhD and Ivana Pletković, Head of the Rector's Office.

Prof. Dragan Ljutić PhD, Rector of the University of Split, stressed the importance of close cooperation between the University and MediLS, it is a significant step forward, not only in our local community, but also on the national and global level. He pointed out that there is a lot of room for cooperation and that some of it is already being successfully achieved. With the signed agreement further steps in relations between these two institutions, which will certainly contribute to the development of science within the two of them and beyond?

On the occasion of signing the agreement, Miroslav Radman, member of the Academia, pointed out that the Institute, since it was founded, intended to be integrated into academic life as much as possible, for example by holding lectures for Split students.
- We wish to be inseparable from standard lectures, which signing this agreement makes possible, and I personally have many years of experience in transferring knowledge to students as a professor of genetics at the Faculty of Medicine. Our cooperation already exists, it comes naturally, we are glad to be part of the city of Split’s academic community - said the academic Radman, emphasizing that the signing of this agreement opens the door to collaborative, productive professional work of both MediLS and the University of Split.
