“Practical education for the environment" webinar

As part of the "UniCompoST Classroom" and "One neighborhood at a time" projects, financed by funds from the European Solidarity Corps program, a webinar on "Practical education for the environment" took place.

UniCompoST Classroom is a project implemented by Split’s Faculty of Chemical Technology’s Association of Former Students and Friends and UniCompoST, a trade specializing in developing products in domain of waste management and circular economy. The project is implemented in city of Split’s area, target groups are primary and secondary schools and their pupils. Goal of the project is to develop and implement a mixed education program in the field of waste management and circular economy, including online courses as a basis in theory and practical workshops in schools where pupils can acquire concrete knowledge and skills.

One neighborhood at a time is an ecology-education project run by 6 volunteers gathered in the association ‘Ocean Znanja’ in Croatia. It is implemented in city of Zagreb’s area, and target users are elementary schools and 2.-8. grade pupils, as well as residents of Zagreb’s neighborhoods. Goals of the project are education concerning proper waste disposal and caring for environment in workshops organized in schools, encouraging activism and connecting local communities in clean-up actions. The project started January 1, 2022 and lasts for one year, during which it is planned to include about 300 pupils from 8 elementary schools in 8 different Zagreb’s neighborhoods.
