New study program - Hotel management and gastronomy graduate university study in Makarska

The program strives to educate future managers in hospitality, hotel industry and public sector, who will get to know basic economic processes, in different teaching processes, coupled with environmental protection and principles of balanced social development.

The University of Split in Makarska will be starting the study program Hotel management and gastronomy at the graduate level this autumn, so that young people with acquired knowledge and expertise would be able to respond to modern requirements in the tourism industry’s hotel and hospitality segments.

It will be able to enroll the graduate university study of Hotel management and gastronomy after completing the same undergraduate university, or any other related study, such as economics, business economics and the like. It will last for two years, and completing it students will acquire 120 ECTS credits and the academic title of Master of Science in Hotel management and gastronomy.

Completing this study, students will be able to find jobs in hotel, hospitality and tourism companies, as well as those working in related industries, but also tourist organizations and boards, travel agencies and tourist associations, financial institutions and other business ventures that require specific know-how in tourism and hospitality.

In addition to that, after graduating, students will be able to continue their education, or enroll postgraduate specialist or university studies at University of Split or any other higher education institution in Croatia or abroad.
