MUSEUM NIGHT 2022 at the Split Campus University Gallery

University Gallery in Split prepared two events for its visitors on Friday, January 28, 2022, on Museum Night.

EXHIBITION: Remembering Ante Kaštelančić, Sails can be seen from the window - 1st floor, 19:30

The exhibition Remembering Ante Kastelančić is one in a series of University of Split and University Gallery’s art projects, which emphasize the importance of keeping memory of our professors, artists and educators who left their mark in important periods of Split’s art and culture and earned it the artistic respect it deserves.

The exhibition remains open until February 21, 2022.

Exhibition WHERE IS THIS BOAT SAILING TO? - opening at 20:00 - University Gallery’s ground floor

University of Split’s Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D. will open the exhibition WHERE IS THIAS BOAT SAILING TO? Assist. prof. Vedran Barbarić Ph.D., University of Split’s Faculty of Philosophy Vice-dean, archaeologist Ivan Šuta B.Sc., City of Kaštela’s Museum director, will be presenting it, as well as the monograph.

Authors of the monograph: assist. prof. Miona Miliša Ph.D., senior lecturer Filip Rogošić, Ph.D., Maja Miše, Ph.D. and Irena Radić Rossi Ph.D.

Authors of the exhibition are assist. prof. art. Miona Miliša Ph.D. and senior lecturer Filip Rogošić, from the Academy of Arts’ Conservation-Restoration Department in Split.

The exhibition will feature archeological objects found in 2015 at the underwater archeological site of Žirje, where the wreck of a merchant ship dated 4th century BC was discovered.

The exhibition remains open until March 1, 2022.
