Gdansk: Meetings of SEA-EU Alliance technical working groups on mobility, communication and internal organization of work

Representatives of nine partner universities discussed SEA-EU Alliance’s mobility, communication and internal organization of work for the next four years. First day of SEA-EU Governing Week in Gdańsk was concluded with meetings of SEA-EU Technical Working Group and reSEArch-EU Technical Working Group.

During the meeting of the Technical Working Group supporting activities of Alliance’s essential bodies (Executive and Management Board), first speaker was Professor Fidel Echevarría from University of Cádiz. SEA-EU coordinator spoke about the European Committee's request to prepare a description of unique actions in the project of European University not financed with Erasmus+ initiatives.

Then representatives of each university presented their teams and pointed to key aspects of communication and organization of work in SEA-EU 2.0. Chairing the meeting, Irene de Andrés, from University of Cádiz, spoke about changing the minutes system.

- The role of our team is to support coordinators of work packages and Alliance coordinators, but we should also support each other - said Marlena Rutkowska-Myzyk, SEA-EU project manager at University of Gdańsk. - Maybe sometimes we forget how important is exchanging good practices or sharing good experiences. I would like our group to be an example of well-organized work for the entire SEA-EU.

Main topic of SEA-EU technical working group’s meeting was mobility. Increasing general mobility by 50% is the goal for next four years, that the European Commission set for the project entering its second phase.

At the end of the meeting, Irene de Andrés talked about the process of creating SEA-EU’s official website, which is expected to be operational by fall 2023.

ReSEArch-EU technical working group

A meeting of the reSEArch-EU Technical Working Group also took place, focused on upcoming projects and the initiative’s budget.

We talked about milestones and other actions we need to implement in June, such as our platform, thanks to which scientists can not only acquire qualifications, but also contact investors, as well as pilot actions aimed at informing our stakeholders,' said the coordinator of reSEArch-EU technical work group, Laura Martín from University of Cádiz. 'We also discussed future milestones and actions we will need to take. Most of them refer to alliance-wide data management policy'.
