The formal celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment and operation of the Faculty of Chemical Technology in Split was held on Friday, October 23, in the amphitheater of the Three Faculties building.

This year, due to epidemiological restrictions, the celebration of the Faculty’s day was not organized in the usual way. The short ceremony was attended by the Faculty management lead by the newly elected dean, prof. Matko Erceg PhD, heads of departments and of organizational units, as well as the Rector prof. That is to say, the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology is one of our first faculties that meant a lot to the economy of our city and county. As times change, today it means a lot for the overall progress of our University, as well as for its placement on world rankings” - said Rector Ljutić, promising KTF maximum help and support from University’s administration in further work because, as he said, there is no progress without unity.

The Dean of KTF, on the other hand, looked back at the Faculty’s history and development over the past years, concluding that, if we look back, KTF has successfully implemented the idea and vision of its founders.
