FESB students presented solutions for systems keeping monitoring class attendance

On February 17, in the SPINIT Technology Park, final year Computer Science students at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding (FESB) presented their solutions for systems monitoring students' attendance. As explained by prof. Sven Gotovac Ph.D., professor at FESB and SPINIT’s project manager, they want to bring students closer to the labour market and real projects, so they can solve concrete problems in some companies, related to more than one technology, within the framework of several courses in their final years of study.

Five student teams presented their systems to a three-member jury, consisting of prof. Gotovac, Nediljko Bugarin (SPINIT) and Neven Rusković, director of Špica sustavi, also a partner in this project, which deals with system development, or automation processes in managing human resources, hotel systems and supply chains.

First team consisted of Iva Madunić, Mislav Kovač and Ljuban Tomić; second Duje Srhoj and Dario Vranješ; third: Ante Radačić and Matino Brajković; fourth: Božo Božinović, Mislav Ivanda, Mateo Medak and Ana Žuljević; and fifth: Ivana Kožul, Andrej Mucić and Marko Brigić.

During projects preparation, students had at their disposal Spark* Split mentors to help with entrepreneurial aspects of their solutions. The Spark* Split initiative was created as part of the CHIC project, where SPINIT and University of Split are also partners.
