Exquisite musical and artistic experience "Paintings of Music" by prof. Goran Sučić Ph.D. at University Gallery

Art is never its own purpose, but has to take form in various media, through and with man. Music supports paintings, and they support music, because they have common means of expression, such as colour, strength, rhythm, so they provide a special experience - prof. Goran Sučić Ph.D. said, presenting his solo exhibition. In addition to exhibited artworks, a concert was held there and original compositions of Goran Sučić - former professor at Faculty of Humanities, scientist, composer, painter, author of numerous projects, books, interpretations, scientific and professional articles - were performed.

This exquisite musical and artistic experience titled "Paintings of Music" took place Wednesday, February 22, at Split’s University Gallery, where prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., University of Split Rector, Tonći Šitin Ph.D., exhibition’s curator and presenter, as well as Helena Trze Jakelić, head of University Gallery, presented this versatile artist’s work to his numerous admirers

- I believe that music teachers and students are grateful to Sučić for over a hundred compositions for solo instruments and vocals. He is also a great connoisseur of mandolin orchestras and piano trios, and a lot of intellectual work went into his multidimensional multimedia projects, connecting him with the huge area of painting - Tonći Šitin asserted.

Split's musical legend, Zorica Kondža, also participated in the music program performing, among other Sučić's original compositions, "Song to the Sea", accompanied by maestro prof. Joško Banov on piano and Ema Nikolić prof. on cello.

The group ‘Rebatajica’ sang the “Fisherman’s Ballad”, Sara Velić on bassoon played "Little invention", Ana Kačić Barišić on violin “The waltz game” and Ema Nikolić, prof. on cello "Behind the dream". They were all accompanied by Petra Matetić, prof.
