The exhibition Painting and what can it do: Generation 2021. was opened in University Gallery’s beautiful atmosphere.

The exhibition is part of the Split Academy of Arts Painting Department’s long-term practice of exhibiting artworks, aimed at training students for independent exhibitions and positioning on the national art scene.

Davor Drčelić, Ivan Jerončić Grba, Ivo Mateljak, Mia Minigo and Ivona Pupačić recently graduated painting from Split’s Academy of Arts, in prof. Vedran Perkov’s class.

Head of Academy of Arts’ Painting Department, prof. Viktor Popović, addressed the visitors, saying that this valuable generation detected topics that interested them through their studies with exceptional dedication and precision.

He also thanked head of University Gallery, Helena Trze Jakelić, for her systematic support and their successful cooperation.
