Education on UN Sustainable Development Goals in November with the project ActiveST

As part of the project ActiveST, there was a cycle of education on UN's Sustainable Development Goals in November, in which we hosted experts from public and private sectors, as well as non-profit organizations who presented, using their own projects and activities as examples, how they contribute to realizing UN’s Sustainable Development Goals within areas in which they operate and do business. Goal of this education cycle is to introduce young people to ways in which, practicing entrepreneurship and social engagement, everyone can contribute to realizing UN's Sustainable Development Goals by 2030; encourage them to become active citizens and contribute to solving problems in their local communities.

Two trainings were held:

1) Goal 16 - Peace, justice and strong institutions; Livija Plančić, president of the White Circle of Croatia association, spoke on "Justice for victims of violence is often slow and unattainable".

2) Goal 17 - Partnership to reach goals; Joze Tomaš, president of HGK - Split County Chamber, gave a talk on "Role of business associations and creating efficient public-private partnerships".

Trainings are a part of the project "ActiveST", co-financed by the Central Office for Demography and Youth.
