The 12th Croatian Cochrane Symposium on the theme "Cochrane's Evidence for Improving Public Health in the Age of COVID-19" will be held on November 3, 2020. Due to the epidemiological situation, the symposium will take place online and there will be no fees.

This year's Croatian Cochrane Symposium is for the first time dedicated to public health and will put an emphasis on the need and importance of evidence obtained from Cochrane's systematic reviews in this area. The Symposium will present relevant scientific evidence in the area of public health, concerning vaccination, screening tests, public health measures to improve health in children and the young. It will also discuss important clinical findings in the light of public health, as well as the path from clinical trials, through systematic reviews, all the way to developing clinical guidelines, with an emphasis on COVID-19. In addition, the symposium provides an opportunity to highlight key methodological features necessary for good understanding of high value research results, interpretation and applicability of scientific evidence in the context of current knowledge and clinical relevance, all with the goal of providing clear, unambiguous, reliable and clinically focused answers regarding best patient care and better decision-making concerning entire population’s health.
