12th conference LHC Days in Split

October 3-8, 2022, the University of Split (FESB and PMF) are organizing the 12th conference "LHC Days in Split", which brings internationally recognized scientists from all over the world to Split.

The conference is taking place at the Cornaro Hotel, Sinjska St. 6, and will present latest results from physics, studied at CERN’s LHC accelerator, as well as from astroparticle physics and cosmology.

The conference program is available at https://indico.cern.ch/event/877521/.

As part of the conference, there will be a public lecture, scheduled for Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 11 to 12:30 at Cornaro Hotel.

Prof. Goran Senjanović, who was born here and is a world-renowned theoretical physicist, will give the lecture "Is nature left-handed?" Neutrino gives us the answer”. The question "does nature use left and right hand symmetrically?" is the central question in elementary particles’ physics, which led us to the Standard Model - a theory that describes the world of everything that is tiny. Answering that question is the essence of prof. Senjanović's theory and the subject of experimental research conducted at CERN’s LHC accelerator.
