Presenting book "Designing in coexistence - reflections on systemic change"

As part of Croatia's appearance at the 18th Venice Biennale - international exhibition of architecture, Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media and Association of Croatian Architects are organizing promotion of the book "Designing in coexistence - reflections on systemic change", which will take place Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 4 p.m., in the area of ​​Croatian Pavilion in Venice Arsenal.

The presentation includes a conversation between Mia Roth and Tonči Čerina (curators of Croatian appearance), leaders of the workshop held in Lonjsko polje, Markéta Dolejšová and Jaz Hee-jeong Choi (members of Open Forest Collective) and one of authors of book’s texts, Michael Smyth (Edinburgh Napier University), moderated by Ivica Mitrović from Split Academy of Arts (curator of Pavilion's discursive program).

The book is edited by Ivica Mitrović, Mia Roth and Tonči Čerina, and its rich content includes a number of texts by authors and numerous researchers. In addition to those, the book also brings results of workshops attended by over 120 participants from faculties in Croatia, the region and world. Niko Mihaljević was responsible for book’s design. Printing was realized with financial support from Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media, as well as company HÖRMANN HRVATSKA ltd.
