UNIVERSITY OF SPLIT SCIENTISTS AMONG THE TWO PERCENT MOST QUOTED IN THE WORLD IN 2020

An updated study on the world's most cited scientists was published, prepared by Californian Stanford University’s research group, led by Professor John Ioannidis. It contains more than 100,000 of the world's most cited scientists, divided into 22 fields and 176 branches of science, covering the most cited 2 percent of world's scientists.

As part of the study, two lists were published - the most influential scientists for 2020 and the most influential scientists in their entire scientific career, and University of Split’s scientists achieved remarkable success on both.

The list of the most influential scientists for 2020 includes: Ante Munjiza (Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy), Frano Barbir (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture), Sandro Nižetić (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture), Damir Vukičević (Faculty of Science), Ognjen Bonacci (Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy), Ana Marušić (School of Medicine), Igor Jerković (Faculty of Chemical Technology), Zenon Pogorelić (School of Medicine) and Dragan Primorac (School of Medicine).

Data for the list of the most influential scientists in their entire careers have been updated with data covering the end of 2020 and this list includes: Frano Barbir (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture), Ante Munjiza (Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy), Ana Marušić (School of Medicine), Vlasta Bonačić-Koutecky (STIM-REI Center), Ognjen Bonacci (Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy), Damir Vukičević (Faculty of Science), Mladen Miloš (Faculty of Chemistry and Technology), Sandro Nižetić (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture), Matko Marušić (School of Medicine), Igor Jerković (Faculty of Chemistry and Technology), Dragan Poljak (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture) and Dragan Primorac (School of Medicine).
