The Embassy of Japan has a competition for scholarships funded by their government, for two-year (post) graduate research studies.

Scholarships are intended for students in any field, interested in performing research at one of Japanese universities, after which they will have the opportunity to continue their studies at master's degree or doctorate in Japan.

Scholarships are awarded for the academic year beginning April 1, 2023.

Application deadline is June 17, written exams will take place June 30 and interviews with candidates July 1, 2022 at the Embassy.
