Inaugural visit of H.E. Ambassador of Italy, Pierfrancesco Sacco, to the University of Split

Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Croatia, Pierfrancesco Sacco, visited the University of Split on May 10.
The Ambassador was accompanied by his wife Laura Fernandez Serch and a delegation consisting of Consul General of Italy in Rijeka Davide Bradanini, Director/Attaché for Trade Promotion at the Institute for Foreign Trade, Sandra Di Carlo, and Honorary Consul of Italy in Split, Maja Medić.
On behalf of the University of Split, the guests were received by the Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., Vice Rector for International Cooperation, prof. Đurđica Miletić Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, prof. Leandra Vranješ Markić Ph.D., and Ivana Pletković - Head of the Rector's Office.

The Italian Ambassador, together with the delegation, also visited the Faculty of Philosophy, where he was hosted by the Dean of the Faculty, assoc. prof. Gloria Vickov Ph.D., accompanied by Vice Dean for Science and International Cooperation, assoc. prof. Antonela Marić Ph.D., Head of the Department of Italian Language and Literature assist. prof. Marijana Alujević Ph.D. and lecturer Cinzia Guardigli. The meeting focused on projects, good cooperation with the Italian Institute of Culture and future collaboration. It was agreed that agreements on university-industry cooperations will be signed with the Italian Cultural Center and the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, in which Faculty of Philosophy students will be able to do their practical work. The Ambassador expressed his support for the Faculty's projects in the field of international cooperation and stressed the importance of synergy in the organization of future initiatives.
