Barcelona Supercomputing Center (https://www.bsc.es/) offers those interested a free online course "PATC: Earth Sciences Simulation Environments" on building climate simulation models, like the EC-EARTH or NMMB-MONARCH models, and on using tools for visualizing results and processing data.

The course is in English, and for attending the course we recommend familiarity with basic UNIX concepts, programming languages ​​C, FORTRAN, Python or R, and MPI or openMP environments, along with studying Geophysics, Geology, Computer Science and related fields.

The course includes practical classes in the HPC environment of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.
