100th anniversary of establishing Split-Dalmatia County’s Teaching Institute for Public Health

The ceremonial academy marking the hundredth anniversary of Split-Dalmatia County’s Teaching Institute for Public Health took place November 21 at the Croatian National Theater in Split. Assist. prof. Željka Karin, Ph.D. Institute’s director, recalled this institution’s rich and long history, also presenting plans for future - construction of a new Microbiology building and opening the Preventive Medicine Centre.

Teaching Institute’s awards were presented to deserving institutions for cooperation and big contribution in fighting Covid-19, so on behalf of University of Split its Rector, prof. Dragan Ljutić Ph.D., received the award, Vice dean prof. Renata Pecotić Ph.D. on behalf of School of Medicine, and deputy head prof. Irena Drmić Hofman Ph.D. on behalf of the University Department of Health Studies, also thanking the Institute on behalf of all awardees.
