Third lecture within SEA-EU Blue Talks lecture series: COVID-19, tourist behavior and policy options

Anabela Marques Santos and Karel Haegeman from the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre will give the third lecture as part of the SEA-EU Blue Talks cycle, on Monday, December 14, starting at 2 p.m. The topic of the lecture is "COVID-19, tourist behavior and policy options, that is the possibility of passing new laws during a pandemic."

The webinar will discuss the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on tourism, as well as how COVID-19 affects tourists/consumers’ preferences and the recovery of tourism. Possible long-term effects on tourist demand will also be discussed, as well as which jobs related to tourism activities are at risk.
